Master Series MS-134 Crafted with Purpose.

Since 1927, we have pursued a singular vision, to craft instruments of enduring beauty, precision, and emotional depth.

The Master Series stands as the latest expression of that legacy.

Introducing the MS-134.

A new pinnacle in upright piano design, the MS-134 is born from generations of master craftsmanship and shaped by a relentless commitment to refinement. Every element has been considered, every detail resolved, resulting in an instrument that speaks with uncommon clarity, warmth, and presence.

Its voice is rich and resonant, layered with colour and nuance.  A tone that does not simply fill a space, but transforms it. Here, tradition and innovation converge, guided not only by technical mastery, but by an understanding that true artistry lives beyond the measurable.

Built around Kawai’s Millennium III upright action with ABS-Carbon fibre components, the MS-134 offers speed, stability, and control that invite you to play more expressively. NEOTEX white keys and Ebony black keys provide secure, natural contact, while the longer key length brings a more grand-like sense of leverage and predictability. Tonally, Master Series hammers and hand-wound bass strings (inspired by Shigeru Kawai grand pianos) shape a sound that feels warm, resonant, and deeply human.

What elevates the MS-134 further is its additional refinement with agraffes (1–51 keys) and fore & back duplex scaling help the piano speak with greater clarity, shimmer, and harmonic complexity - supporting the kind of colour and nuance that advanced pianists listen for.

The MS-134 is more than an instrument, its where our heritage shapes what comes next,
it's an invitation, to discover expression at its most personal, and to experience the piano not just as it is played, but as it is felt.

A Flagship Upright With Greater Scale and Presence

At 134cm, the MS-134 offers more soundboard area and longer string length than smaller uprights, translating into greater projection, deeper bass authority, and a more expansive dynamic range - ideal for serious playing in larger spaces.
Millennium III Upright Action - Beyond the Limits of Wood

Millennium III Upright Action - Beyond the Limits of Wood

The Millennium III upright action incorporates ABS-Carbon fibre components for exceptional strength and rigidity. Lighter, finely balanced action parts respond with greater speed, consistency, and control than conventional all-wood upright actions - supporting expressive playing and long-term stability.
NEOTEX + Ebony Key Surfaces for Secure, Refined Control

NEOTEX + Ebony Key Surfaces for Secure, Refined Control

NEOTEX white key surfaces offer a smooth, ivory-like feel that absorbs moisture for secure contact and comfort. Ebony black keys provide a naturally textured surface that subtly conforms to the fingers - enhancing grip, sensitivity, and delicate control across every passage.
Longer Key Length - The Feel of a Grand

Longer Key Length - The Feel of a Grand

The MS-134’s longer key length provides a more even, predictable response from the front to the back of the key. This added leverage, reminiscent of a grand piano, supports greater control in demanding repertoire and makes nuanced playing feel more effortless.
Treble Clarity and Harmonic Colour (Agraffes + Duplex Scaling)

Treble Clarity and Harmonic Colour (Agraffes + Duplex Scaling)

The MS-134 includes agraffes (1–51 keys) and fore & back duplex scaling to enhance treble definition and add harmonic richness. The result is a clearer attack, more stable speaking length, and a shimmering upper register that carries beautifully - especially in lyrical repertoire and complex voicing.
Expressive Freedom Rare in Uprights

Expressive Freedom Rare in Uprights

The Master Series expands expressive possibilities through the simultaneous use of the muffler mechanism and sostenuto pedal—a rare combination in upright pianos. With a dedicated lever control for the muffler, quiet practice and advanced pedal techniques can coexist seamlessly, giving you greater versatility for every moment.

Music is at the heart of everything we do.

It brings stories to life, shaping moments with emotion.

It’s there when we celebrate, when we reflect, and when we connect.

At the centre of it all - sits the piano.

It’s not about perfection or mastery.

But a companion for creating memories and marking life’s most meaningful passages.

A voice when words fall short, a touchstone for joy, longing, and everything in between.

More than just an instrument, it’s a memory maker.

Through life’s highs and lows, it endures.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

The MS-134 is ideal for advanced students, educators, and serious pianists who want a flagship upright with greater projection, richer bass presence, and refined treble clarity. It suits refined homes, teaching studios, and performance spaces where a premium upright is required.

The MS-134 is taller (134cm vs 130cm) and offers greater scale, including longer speaking length for the no. 1 bass string. It also adds agraffes (1–51 keys) and fore & back duplex scaling for enhanced treble clarity and harmonic richness - making it the more refined, higher-spec Master Series option.

Agraffes help define the speaking length of the strings more precisely, supporting clarity and consistency in the treble. Duplex scaling allows additional string segments to resonate sympathetically, adding shimmer and harmonic complexity to the tone.

Yes. The Master Series includes a muffler mechanism with a dedicated lever, and it’s designed to be used simultaneously with the sostenuto pedal so quiet practice and advanced pedalling techniques can coexist without compromise.

If you want flagship touch and tonal refinement but need a smaller footprint, the MS-134 offers a highly expressive, premium upright experience with excellent projection and colour. If you have the space and want maximum string length and soundboard area, a grand piano may offer greater scale - we can help you compare in a private appointment.
